Privacy policy

Last updated: 30 September 2026

This policy explains what personal information The AI Executive Edit collects, why, and what your rights are. If anything is unclear, contact me using the details below.

Who I am

The AI Executive Edit is run by Heather, based in Scotland, UK. I’m responsible for your personal information (the “controller”). Contact: hello@theaiexecutiveedit.com

What I collect, why, and the legal basis

  • Free guides and newsletter: your email address, and your first name if you give it, so I can send you the guides and emails you asked for. Emails are sent through Kit, which records whether emails are opened and links clicked. Legal basis: your consent, which you can withdraw at any time using the unsubscribe link in every email.
  • Purchases: when The Full Edit kits are available, payments will be handled by Payhip and its payment providers. I receive your name, email address and what you bought, so I can deliver it and keep the records the law requires. I never see your card details. Legal basis: to fulfil our contract, and to meet legal obligations such as tax records.
  • Messages: if you contact me, I keep your message and details so I can reply. Legal basis: my legitimate interest in answering your enquiry.
  • Website: this site is hosted by WordPress.com, which can collect basic technical information such as your IP address and uses cookies, including for site statistics.

Cookies

Some cookies are needed for the site to work. Others, such as those used for site statistics, are optional.

Who else handles your information

I use Kit (email), Payhip (sales) and WordPress.com (website hosting). Some of these providers, or their suppliers, may process data outside the UK, including in the United States. Where that happens, they use recognised safeguards such as the UK International Data Transfer Addendum [to confirm for each provider]. I never sell your information.

How long I keep it

Newsletter details: until you unsubscribe. Messages: 12 months. Purchase records: 5 years, as UK tax law requires.

Your rights

You can ask to see the personal information I hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to how I use it, or receive a copy to move elsewhere. Contact me and I’ll respond within one month.

If you’re unhappy with how I’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ico.org.uk).

Changes

If this policy changes, I’ll update the date at the top of this page.
